Padua
Travelling to Padua is a journey into the past and the present, between ancient history, traditions and art. Padua is a city rich in beauty, and it can be seen in places such as the restored Palazzo della Ragione and the Loggia dei Carraresi which testify to the splendor of the Carraresi domination, in the Scrovegni Chapel with its precious frescoes by Giotto, in the sculptures of Donatello or in the more modern lines of the Libeskinds monument.
It is a walk among the magnificence of the ancient palaces, among the spirituality breathed in the Churches – among the Basilicas of Sant’Antonio, di San Giustina (Santa Giustina), the Cathedral with its Roman Baptistery, among the daily bustle of the city markets of Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, between the grandeur of Prato della Valle and under the millenary arcades.
Padua is also a city of science with its university in the ancient Palazzo del Bo and along the avenues of the first University Botanical Garden in Europe.
Today this creative and dynamic city is animated by markets, squares, refined restaurants, ancient taverns and tables of historic places such as Caffè Pedrocchi or trendy places where the locals meet for the aperitif ritual.

Padua on your plate
A cuisine similar to that of Venice but which has its own flavors and traditions, and which is linked to the countryside and the flourishing agriculture of this area. It would be impossible to list here all the food and wine products of Padua. However, the DOC wines (Controlled Designation of Origin), the DOP Veneto Berico Euganeo ham (sweet Montagnana ham) and the DOP Euganei Berici extra virgin olive oil are worth mentioning.
